Aradhana heard the sound of someone knocking on the door. So she tilted her head to see whether the door is locked or not. After confirming that her door is locked, she sat on her bed to continue her homework. The knocking was heard again, now a bit louder. Keeping her warm feet on the cold floor, she began to walk near the door. She could feel silence around her. The space between the door and her reduced. When Aradhana was about to open the door, she glanced herself in the mirror that was beside the door. The knocking sound suddenly receded which made her look at the mirror for a long time. Aradhana pulled all her hair and tied them together. Suddenly she noticed that her right dangler was missing. Turning around, she checked her table for the missing earring. The knock grew louder and louder.
The fitful knock made her worry. As she was near the door during
the third knock, she sensed her heartbeat was louder than the knock. So
Aradhana held her fear back. She unlatched the door slowly. Finding that there
was nobody behind the door, she locked it again.
She sensed something new while returning to the bed, Aradhana
heard the knock again. She felt the beat of her heart louder for the second
time. Her warm feet turned cold and made her realize her fear. She moved
towards the door carefully. Then she peeped her eye through the peephole to
check who is at the other end.
The shock of seeing the glowing fire amidst the dark cloud
pushed her away from the door. The knock grew louder and louder that made her
door to break, little by little. Witnessing the terrible she moved a step back.
A sudden force from behind pushed her to the front and the latch broke out from
the door as well due to the incessant knock. Something appeared before
Aradhana's eyes. Losing her steps in the fright, her body settled on the cold
floor. And the knock grew louder and louder into her ear. A voice overpowered
the knock this time. "Wake up Aradhana, it's already 9 o'clock in the
morning"
